A brief description of our new class - the cars are ostensibly identical 1/24th scale Audi DTM cars. We purchased four of them and throughout the course of the evening's racing the cars remain on the same lane and we all drive all four cars. It should be noted that the first attempt to run these cars was something of a disaster because apart from rattling terribly, they proceeded basically to fall apart and the event was abandoned about half way through. Fortunately we have our own in-house wizard, Alan Shawe, who waved his wand over them and apart from dire handling problems early in the evening, they eventually warmed up and ran quite nicely. As an alternative, one of our members has supplied us with four 1/32nd Dallara sports cars, with colours that match our lane colours. These will be run on occasions and the results below will state which cars were used.
