This idea was repeated but on this occasion we used our NASCAR racers.

We call the racing method Roulette, because as with that form of gambling, luck plays a large part in a person's success or failure. These cars are scratch-built and several of our members are noticeably better at building quick slot cars than are others. Thus, it's very much the luck of the dice that determines whether a driver gets a really quick car or a not so quick one. One could say that the luck evens out over the course of the evening but of course, it doesn't always.

Nevertheless, it was a terrific turn-out with our regular ten members turning up along with two others who we see very rarely. So, there were no fewer than twelve of us there and with the addition of Christmassy food, supplied by Vic, Colin and Tony, an excellent evening was enjoyed by most, if not all of us.
