HOME RULES & REGS CALENDARS RESULTS GEAR RATIOS  NINCO WORLD CUP HISTORY TRACK BUILD CLUB CARS |

After much discussion, a completely new format was introduced for the club's Spring Special event night. As with most of our club nights, we had two separate competitions. In the first half of the evening each person chose one of his cars - not necessarily his fastest car, more likely to be one that maybe doesn't race very often. Thus it was listed as a Formula Libre event. The races were run over 12 laps. After the tea and coffee break a very unusual type of racing took place. We chose four very quick cars and each were allotted a lane. The cars remained on the same lane for the whole of the competition, thus each driver drove each one of the four cars. There was a big variation of cars; a 1975 Hesketh F.1 car with a Richard Mack chassis; a Group 5 B.M.W, also with a Mack chassis; a slot race wing car and a Pro-Slot Porsche 911 GT.2 with a 30,000 rpm motor. |
